The statue for Jan and Hubert Van Eyck is situated next to St. Baafs Cathedral. These painters made the splendid altar piece ‘The Adoration of the Mystic Lamb’ in 1432. A visit to this most important of all medieval paintings is a must when in Gent! St. Baafs Cathedral in the background. In this cathedral, partly in Romanesque, Gothic and Baroque style, the Emperor Charles has been christened in 1500. Visit the altar piece.
