i want to climb mt pulag. i've just been emailed by ephilippines about it. what does it need to climb mt pulag? i havent been hiking before. i can say im fit but i really dont know pag real climbing na. i also have altitude problems. went to tibet (i only flew around everest) and it was the worst kind of pain!!!! its like there was sothing squeezing my head the whole 3 nights!! and i had to move my body together with my hear everytime! always felt tired!!! will i experience the same?? tibet is 4,000 meters above sea level but it is a city and i didnt climb it yet i felt all those problems!!!

what about october?
i'm in love w/ pulag though i haven't been there...i've seen lots of pictures and i'm living on the thought of scaling it one day (ok, mejo oa sa drama, hehe!).but most of what i've read are climbs frm dec-may...i'm planning to do it this october, last week to be exact, and my friends are hesitant,thinking that it's going to be rainy and cloudy and not safe..any advise? oct is the only time i have and i only have 4days so i'm really crossing my fingers and hoping that it's no longer rainy on that month...but knowing the tag-ulan in the phils,i'm not really sure...help! =)

I went to Mt. Pulag with 3 others via the Akiki trail last April 29-May 1, 2006. I guess we were the only group consists of not-so-seasoned climbers that took the killer trail that time. It was a very memorable and funny experience. When Ranger Ruben Aguinse asked us for our group name - we had nothing in mind but "SEasoned climbers" though it was supposed to be "seasonal." For every flaw that we had made - like forgetting our water supply in the Kabayan-bound bus and not bringing a can opener - we always laugh and say that we can survive without those things being "seasoned climbers." Hehehe! Next time I come back there, I'll try the Tawangan trail. I took a lot of pics which I posted on my friendster blogsite - emmanuelpalacio.blogs.friendster.com. Check that out.

a journey 2 d HEAVENS
heya!! my officemates(dept. of health - car, baguio city) and i climbed up mt. pulag last april 23-24, 2005 in celebration of earth month and as part of our healthy lifestyle program. it's my first time to hike this mountain park and it's really worth the experience. one of the highlights of the trek was when we had our TAICHI and basic YOGA poses on the summit after viewing the sunrise. THE MT. PULAG ADVENTURE WAS REALLY A JOURNEY TO THE HEAVENS..

hi guys i,m a member of the group called manhik manaog, we climbed mt. pulag last dec.26-30 out of 12 groups who are going to climb that day we are just 2 groups who's going to take the AKIKI TRAIL paakyat, nagtataka ko bakit kaya, our e.l. is tahimik lang hindi nya sinasabi na KILLER TRAIL pala yun, but i'm proud coz i was able to climb it in taht trail and i was inducted at 3 am at the summit wearing only a sweater, gosh! imagine the cold and i was just we are just wearing 1 piece of upper garment.the view was splendid! breath taking! a must see! try nyo AKIKI-AMBANGIG! da best!

great experience
It's my first time to climb mountain, and I'm so proud and I can't imagine that my first climb was in Mt. Pulag. It's really hard for the firstimer to climb the 2nd highest mountain in Philippines, but after you reach the summit point, you'll see and appreciate the beauty of this mountain. It's so amazing that God created a wonderfull place/nature like Pulag. Hope all of you guys there experience what I feel in Mt. Pulag. I know I'll be back soon to try the AKIKI trail.
