fanad head have sad memories for my family as my brother david went out on the 28 sep 1950 and was never seen again its 60 years ago next sept and its still as it was yesterday i shall never forget that night david was 13 i was 14 yours pob

What great pictures. I lived in Ballure near the shore...can't wait to move back although it may be a few years yet. My husbands family where Manuel and Sheila McAteer who have now sadly passed away but where well known in the area. You may not get the best of weather there but you can't half beat the views....youve shown that!!

Fanad Lighthouse
Hi Cathy My maiden name is Gallagher I was born in Carrigart, my Dad was Gerald Gallagher he passed away in April this year in Limerick he is now buried in Carrigart as is my Mum we used to go to Fanad to visit on a Sunday.Our cousins operated the Lighthouse.

Fanad light house
my grandfather ran this lighthouse in the 50's and 60's. he would have been 99 this year. One of the other comments on the photo was from Fitzgerald who's grandmother lived near this , dou you happen to have his email address ?

My grandmother lived down the road from the Fanad lighthouse. She left Ireland when she was 19 yrs old (she's now 95 and healthier than most of our family). Thanks for the picture!!!!!
