Akershus is a fortress guarding the access to Oslo port. Inside of the fortress, you will find several interesting buildings and objects as well as places with nice vistas of the city and its environment. From among the things inside, I found to be the most interesting the Hjemmefront museet – Museum of National Resistance aimed to present the Norwegian anti-nazi resistance during the World War II. I think the bravery and determination the Norwegians thence fought against the nazis with, made their resistence the most fierce in Western Europe. I think within Europe, its bravery can be compared only with that in Yugoslavia. It is one of the most admirable parts of Norwegian history.
The pictures were taken during one evening at the beginning of the second week of July in 2004.
